Welcome! Jeanene helps women who are completely drained and looking for a more flexible format for therapy. You can go from stressed-out and cut-off, to feeling empowered and able to accept yourself for who you are today.
I’m dedicated to helping you embrace your unique life and be present with those you love. I’ve learned to find acceptance of myself and my differences, and am passionate about helping you embrace your strengths and find the beauty and appreciation in your differences, as well!
Jeanene is focused on meeting you where you are and working at your pace. These sessions will all be done from the comfort of your own home. We can meet during naptime, on your lunch break, or anywhere in the state of Virginia or Florida. Together, we’ll find hope and real solutions, based on your unique strengths. My goal is to understand what you are struggling with in life, and to help you implement actions so you can feel more in control!

Getting Started is Easy!
“Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think”
– A. A. Milne
“Don’t forget you’re human. It’s okay to have a meltdown, just don’t unpack and live there. Cry it out and then refocus on where you are headed.”
“The strongest people I’ve met have not been given an easier life. They’ve learned to create strength and happiness from dark places.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you really see all of your clients online?
Yes! When I opened Virginia Online Therapy, I had a traditional brick and mortar office located in Virginia Beach. As I began to learn about the benefits of online therapy for both my clients and myself, and I quickly fell in love with the ease and convenience it provides.
How does online therapy work exactly?
Online psychotherapy (similar to Skype or Facetime) continues to grow in use within the healthcare field. For our sessions, you and I are each at a location of our choosing and we meet over the internet using a secure video platform provided by me. This makes our work together convenient and confidential. You will need a comfortable, private space, good internet connection, and a smart phone, tablet, laptop or personal computer. Easy, right?
You can login from home, work or another private location. In fact, I can “meet” you anywhere within the states of Virginia or Florida, so you can be in an environment where you feel comfortable. Some of the benefits of online therapy include savings in the form of your time since you are not driving back and forth to your appointments, being able to continue with your sessions if you travel for work or go to college, solving any transportation problems you may have, and for moms, having your session during your child’s nap-time which removes the need for childcare. Some clients share that being online helps them open up more than they would in person.
Do you offer 24/7 online scheduling?
If you’re at all like me, you remember late in the evening that you meant to schedule an appointment and now the office is closed. With Virginia Online Therapy’s scheduling system, you have access to my calendar 24/7 so you can schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments at your convenience.
How will I know if we will work well together?
Before we schedule your first session, we will chat to see what your therapy needs are, make sure I am the right provider for you, confirm you are a good candidate for online therapy, and allow you to try out the platform I use. Our first session will allow me to get a deeper look at your needs and allow you to experience working with me to make sure you are comfortable with how we connect.
Are my therapy records confidential?
Honoring your privacy is extremely important to me. Virginia and Florida laws and social work professional ethics help me ensure that your therapy records are confidential. There are some exceptions which are out of my control however. If you use your health insurance to pay for my services, you have agreed to allow your insurance company access to your medical records if they so request. If you are involved in court proceedings, and your therapy records are subpoenaed, I may be required by law to provide them. It is my goal to only release records it if will clearly benefit my client so I will work closely with you and my attorney, if necessary, before doing so.
